High School Pre-Season Camp – conducted by Coach Zurita

@ Shelton HS – Grass field

Cost - $100/Player

A pre-season camp week designed to continue the player’s preparation for tryouts and the season itself.  The week will focus on technical, tactical topics in preparation for the HS season.  To prevent injuries and get the most out of the sessions – players should arrive fit and physically ready for the season 

Summer League – Trumbull, Masuk & Shelton

July 10th – August 14th (Tuesday’s only)


Trumbull HS Soccer Fields


Players will register via the Trumbull United Web Site.  Link will be emailed to coaches and managers when it becomes available.  All players must register online to play. 

Cost - $50/Player

Format:   Each school will field two competitive and balanced teams.  Each team will play each other once with the final day being a “playoff” match day.  Games will be 80 minutes in length.  Three points for a win, one point for a tie.  All matches will be officiated by a certified referee.

Simple Guidelines for preparing for the Fall season

  • Watch as much Soccer as you can (especially World Cup).  Identify the tactical and technical aspects of the game specifically focusing on players in the position you are trying out for.  Watch the play both when they have the ball and without the ball – identifying how they defend and attack.
  • Fitness Training Guidelines - you can do on your own or with a friend: Recommend a minimum of 4 (1 hour) training sessions per week.
    • Focus on Sprints, Core, Abs, Agility & Speed
    • Warm up with dynamic stretching or a jog for a least 10 minutes   
    • Incorporate the soccer ball in the above as much as possible
  • Don’t work out every day – take days off.   Rest and eat healthy.
